About Dr. Taylor

Keith A. Taylor, D.D.S.

doctortaylor_biophoto.jpgDr. Keith Taylor was raised in Morristown, New Jersey. He graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Clemson University in 1980, and from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in 1984. He entered private practice in 1985 after serving for a year as an independent contractor for various dental practices throughout North Carolina. He taught for one year in the Dental Assisting program at Alamance Community College, and for five years was the dentist on call for three local nursing homes.

Dr. Taylor is currently an Adjunct Professor at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry and served for six years on the Board of Directors for the NC Missions of Mercy (NCMOM), a non-profit organization that provides free dental care to the needy throughout the state. Dr. Taylor has volunteered with NCMOM since 2002, attending over 140 clinic events, and has personally provided close to $4M worth of services to those in need.

Dr. Taylor is a member of both the American Dental Association and the North Carolina Dental Society.

ACD SealIn 2009, he was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, an honor based on leadership, ethics, service to dentistry and service to the community. In 2011, he was inducted as a Fellow of the International College of Dentists, an honorary organization for recognition of outstanding service to the profession and community. Also in 2011, he was honored to be awarded the Lifetime Presidents Call to Service Award and the NC MPACT Excellence Award, for lifetime achievement in volunteering and providing dental care to those in need.

Dr. Taylor is the immediate-past president of the Board of Directors for the Inter-Faith Council for Social Service. In his spare time, he enjoys aviation and spending time with his wife, Isabel, two daughters, three grandsons, one granddaughter and two stepsons.
